Win! Charlaine Harris’s book came out in 2001 whereas Twilight came out in 2005, and I am a strong believer that she ripped off the Sookie Stackhouse series. (Sookie is a telepath, and she can’t read vampire Bill’s thoughts, which is why she notices him. Sound familiar?)And plus, only gay vampires sparkle.
